North Star elementary students rack up close to 6,000 miles

Legs pumping, his round cheeks red, Cody Beck ran the last stretch of a mile to the chants of “Cody, Cody, Cody.”

That made 41 total miles since school started, but for this one, his Northstar classmates were by his side, cheering the third-grader on.
