Montana PSC resoundingly rejects bid to buy NorthWestern Energy

The state Public Service Commission Tuesday unanimously rejected an Australian company’s proposed $2.2 billion buyout of NorthWestern Energy, saying the purchase puts Montana consumers at risk for higher rates and poor service.
