Monument business gets high-tech

Although he made a paycheck working at a dry cleaners and dabbling in farming, Orville Bealer’s true calling was art, according to his son, Ron.

He used books to teach himself to replicate wildlife, flowers and scenic views.

In 1980, when the former Choteau Monuments was for sale, Orville and his wife, Carole, decided to venture into business ownership.

Thanks to advanced computer technology, Orville Bealer’s artwork continues to provide a personalized touch on grave markers and monuments on the Hi-Line, and in the Flathead Valley.
