Finding A Gold Mine In Butte – April 30 – May 1

Max Invites Montanans, National Businesses To Network At Summit

Senator Say Relationships Could Mean More Good-Paying Jobs

As part of his on going efforts to create more good-paying jobs in Montana, Senator Max Baucus is hosting his fourth Montana Economic Development Summit in Butte on April 30 and May 1.

Creating More Good-Paying Jobs

Baucus said one of the main reasons for hosting the Summit is to provide a venue for Montana businesses to connect with more than 50 national companies that will attend. Baucus said these relationships could provide more good-paying job in Montana. First, by introducing national corporations to Montana products, more markets could be opened up to sell products. Secondly, by seeing Montana’s friendly business climate, national corporations will be more likely to locate in Montana.

The Summit will feature a key note address from Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, as well as talks from former Treasury Secretary Bob Rubin, Microsoft founder Bill Gates via satellite, and several ambassadors.

In addition to the addresses, there will be several breakout sessions that will offer tips and training on how small businesses can better succeed in the global marketplace.

The Summit is free and open to the public, and if Montana businesses are interested in connecting with national companies they should call Baucus’ office at (406) 329-3123, or visit http://www.boostmontana.org to set up an appointment.
