Job Purpose:

Optimizes customer satisfaction by developing, implementing, and maintaining Internet-based applications.


* Confirms site objectives; analyzing user requirements; designing, streamlining, and upgrading new features and functionality; studying existing technology architecture.

* Develops user interfaces by determining design methodologies and tool sets; preparing a workflow chart and diagram using knowledge of computer and ASP programming capabilities, subject matter, human factors, and logic; monitoring release schedules; following project development methodology.

* Programs applications by entering design requirements using ASP technology. Analyze software requirements for feasibility of design applying expertise in MS Visual Interdev 6.0, ASP, DHTML and SQL Server 2000 under Windows 2000 Server.

* Confirms applications by conducting tests; modifying program sequence and/or debugging codes; resolving problems.

* Integrates applications by designing database architecture and server scripting; studying and establishing connectivity with network systems, search engines, and information servers; preparing reusable component design.

* Completes applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; developing common site infrastructure; maintaining dynamic data for site.

* Supports users by developing documentation and assistance tools; responding to support and maintenance requests.

Updates job knowledge by researching new technologies and software products; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

* Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Requirements Skills/Qualifications:

*Team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

*Extensive experience with ASP written with VBScript, Transact-SQL in Microsoft SQL 7 or SQL 2000, client-side JavaScript, CSS, HTML and cross-browser issues, SQL 2000 DTS services and security.

*Must be able to address HTML and scripting compatibility issues between different browsers and computing platforms.

*Knowledge and experience with installing, configuring, maintaining, tuning, analyzing and optimizing websites in the NT environment.

*Ability to understand and contribute to functional requirements and translate them into technical design and development projects.

*Ability to clearly document features, technical specifications, and infrastructure requirements for self-produced technical work and job processes.

*Must be able to continuously monitor industry trends, technologies, and standards and be able to research, recommend, and apply new technologies as they emerge.

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree minimum Masters Preferred
