Pioneering New Curriculum Integrates Information Systems Education at the University of Montana’s School of Business Administration

“One of the most important tasks we can undertake as professors is to help students understand how advanced information systems has changed and will continue to change the way business is conducted,” says Dr. Cameron Lawrence, assistant professor of information systems and technology. Lawrence, along with Dr. David Firth, assistant professor of information systems and technology, and Dr. Shawn Clouse, director of information technology, has taken an innovative approach to integrate information systems education in the core business curriculum, an approach inspired by Tom Friedman’s book entitled, The World is Flat.
