Report: More kids in state preschools

"Clearly, enrollment is rising fairly rapidly, and funding is moving along with that," says W. Steven Barnett, the institute’s director.

Parents searching for a school can now use a free website to find parent-generated ratings and basic information on virtually every preschool in America. The site, http://www.savvysource.com, offers what its creator calls "kind of a combination of Zagat’s and Craigslist" for parents of young kids.
