AMI Semiconductor posts profitable quarter; plans consolidation and layoffs

Idaho’s other semiconductor company reported a profit in its quarterly earnings report with the Securities and Exchange Commission yesterday. AMI Semiconductor reported net income of $12 million on revenue of $157 million for the fourth quarter of 2006. Net income for the fourth quarter of 2005 was $9.7 million.
