Austrian thermal solar energy company seeking business partners
The Montana Governor’s Office of Economic Development has been contacted by Solar-Plexus (http://www.solar-plexus.at), an Austrian company working in the solar thermal heat recovery business. Their main business is making products that reduce the energy consumption of buildings and to assure that a building’s energy is utilized as effectively as possible. Their customers include hotels, restaurants and private residences. Solar-Plexus is the exclusive export office for FUTUS Energietechnik Gmbh (http://www.futus.at) who develops and manufactures all of their product range.
Solar-Plexus, along with FUTUS are looking for business partners worldwide to produce their products under license as this this will save on shipping costs.
Solar-Plexus has provided the following description of the products they are looking to have manufactured under license:
Thermal-solar panels
Parts:
– Aluminum frame (special profile developed by FUTUS; parts or know-how can be delivered)
– Back cover made of simple metal-sheet
– Isolation made of rock wool (can be bought on the market)
– Nickel-Black-Chrome absorber strips (can be bought on the market)
– Copper pipes
– Prismatic solar-glass (we buy it in the US)
Tools: metal-saw, welding tools (for the absorber), silicon-gun, hammer
(no special tools needed)
Sun-Save-Tank
Parts:
– Isolation modules
– Rubber-bag
– layer column
– cover- und ground plate
– metal-coat
Tools: FUTUS outsourced the production of the isolation modules to a company which is experienced in producing poly-styrol (EPS) parts.
FUTUS outsourced the production of the rubber bag to a company which is experienced in welding EPDM-Foils.
The layer columns are parts made of plastic-pipes. Simple welding tools are needed. The plastic pipes can be bought on the local market.
Climatic-wall
Parts:
– Pipes
– Collecting device
Tools: FUTUS is buying the pipes on the market. The collecting device is made by FUTUS. Montana locations would need a special injection-mold and a special tool to weld the pipes and the collection-device together. Raw material: polypropylene-granule.
Exchanger-stations
Parts:
– Heat-exchanger
– Pumps
– Copper and plastic pipes
– Frame
– Fittings
All the parts of the exchanger stations can be bought on the local market.
No special tools needed.
According to Solar-Plexus all the products can be manufactured by an experienced plumber and only the Climatic-wall modules are a bit more complicated. A minimum qty. of produced items should be a part of the agreement-negotiations with a potential partner.
They believe a potential partner could be:
– An innovate plumber who wants to become a producer
– A manufacturer of heating equipment (oven, pellets-burner,…)
– A manufacturer of tanks who wants to increase its product range with solar-products
– A company of the plastic or metal industry who wants to build up a new product range on the thermal-solar and energy-recovery market.
They claim their products are very simple to produce.
