Clicker technology catches on among teachers. Remote-control-like devices used to gauge students’ understanding

Boulder science teacher Dan Tomlin is a "clicker" convert.
He uses the devices, which resemble blue remote controls, to keep his Manhattan Middle School students engaged during science lessons. He gets immediate feedback on their understanding, can check their background knowledge before starting a unit and can quickly give a test at the end.
