De La Salle Blackfeet School gets $1 million

For the last six years, Brother Paul Ackerman has kept the De La Salle Blackfeet School alive by shaking trees to get enough $25 and $50 donations.

So imagine his surprise when, after a brief phone conversation last spring, a Michigan man dedicated to helping Native Americans get a quality education donated $1 million to the school — no strings attached.
