Bear Paw Development Corporation is a private non-profit organization created for the purpose of administering programs to help improve regional economic conditions in Hill, Blaine, Liberty, Chouteau and Phillips Counties and the Fort Belknap and Rocky Boy's Indian Reservations.

"Of all the turbines General Electric has sold for wind farms throughout North America, this particular wind farm has been the most productive, energy wise," said Mark Jacobson, Invenergy’s Milwaukee-based senior development manager.

‘Future is bright’ for Montana wind farms

The owner of the state’s largest wind farm might build an even larger complex north of Great Falls if a 218-mile merchant transmission line is constructed between the city and Lethbridge, Alberta.
