Missoula Thirsts for the First: The crowds keep growing for the First Friday Art Walk – but how much benefit do galleries see?

For the past 13 years, Monte Dolack has known where he’ll be on the first Friday of every month: at his gallery on Front Street http://www.montedolack.com/ , greeting a stream of Missoula art-lovers and social butterflies.
One of the longest-running current participants in the monthly First Friday Art Walk, Dolack says the event has been a central part of what keeps him in touch with his patrons, and keeps new people coming into his gallery.
