Montana Chamber Enters the Blogosphere

Providing business a new online forum, the Montana Chamber of Commerce has created a blog that will provide the latest news on business issues in Montana. The new blog is called “Montana Main Street Blog” and can be found online at: http://www.montanamainstreetblog.typepad.com.

“Blogs are a great way to provide our members and the public with current information on issues affecting economic development and business in general,” said Jon Bennion, Government Relations Director of the Montana Chamber and primary poster on the blog. “During the Legislative session, we’ll have daily posts to give people a business perspective on the latest developments.”

More specifically, the blog postings will discuss bills going through the Legislature, work comp, business taxation, judicial issues, legal reform, human resources, health care and more. People in the business community are encouraged to post their own comments to the daily postings and make a visit to the blog a part of their daily routine.

“We’ll cover some of the same stories people see in the newspaper, but from a different point of view. Visitors can also expect to find facts and opinions not widely reported by the media,” said Bennion.

For more information on the blog, please contact Jon Bennion, Government Relations Director at (406)442-2405, ext. 104, or [email protected].
