Rally-racing reality TV program takes off from downtown Whitefish, Montana

Spike TV’s decision to film the start of their road-rally reality show "Bullrun 2007" in Whitefish last week was a shot in the arm for local businesses, filling local coffers and leaving a crowd of onlookers grinning ear to ear even before the race began.

Joel Rodgers, executive producer for Rocket Science Laboratories, said the company originally planned to start their border-to-border rally in Eureka, but while driving down Central Avenue, they liked what they saw, contacted the state’s film office and moved their starting location.

"We wanted to start somewhere all-American," Rodgers said. "We love Whitefish."
