Eastern education: University of Montana plans move forward for China campus
September 27, 2006 /
In his State of the University address, University of Montana President George Dennison didn’t mention the plan to open a UM branch in China, but that doesn’t mean the idea is far from his mind.
Now some two years in the making, UM is developing a curriculum for the proposed campus in the port city of Xiamen, and things in China have been ticking along, Dennison said.
“I thought it would go a little faster than it has, but you have to do things in accordance with the Chinese schedule,” Dennison said.
