Affiliated Computer of Dallas, TX Gets $29 million, 58-month contract from the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services Agency

Bear Paw Development Corporation is a private non-profit organization created for the purpose of administering programs to help improve regional economic conditions in Hill, Blaine, Liberty, Chouteau and Phillips Counties and the Fort Belknap and Rocky Boy's Indian Reservations.

Affiliated Computer Services Inc., an information technology outsourcing company, said Monday it received a $29 million, 58-month contract from the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services Agency to help process Medicaid claims.

The deal is the company’s fourth straight Medicaid pact with the state.

The company currently processes more than seven million claims annually for Montana’s Medicaid and mental health services plan. Affiliated Computer also processes eyeglass and dental claims for the state’s children’s health insurance plan.

The contract runs until 2011.

Shares of Dallas, Texas-based Affiliated Computer were recently up 29 cents to $52.90 in New York Stock Exchange trading.
