Urban business to get a boost. Wisconsin Gov. Doyle offers seed money, advice for minority ventures
Gov. Jim Doyle on Wednesday announced a six-point package of state resources to help seed minority entrepreneurialism and homegrown jobs in some of Wisconsin’s hardest-hit communities.
The governor’s announcement – which includes low-interest micro-loans and a new state-funded minority business adviser – is his second round of minority economic initiatives in Milwaukee in less than a week. Doyle, a Democrat, faces re-election in November.
H. Carl Mueller, a public relations specialist and political strategist in Milwaukee, said Doyle is solidifying a natural constituency as the race enters the final sprint.
