New Online Tool for Community Revitalization Efforts

NeighborWorks America, a national nonprofit organization created by Congress to provide financial support, technical assistance, and training for community-based revitalization efforts, has made available on its website a new evaluation tool for community development programs.

The tool, known as storymapping, guides practitioners through the evaluation process, including capacity assessment, performance measurement and evaluation. A complementary PowerPoint presentation focuses on useful evaluation data that is available from sources such as the Census Bureau. These materials were originally presented as part of a symposium entitled All in Good Measure that took place in Kansas City, Missouri in June 2006.
