Reminder – Still Time to Register for Bozeman SBIR Conference and Phase II Grant Proposal Training!

If you’re looking to fund your new product research and technology development, and subsequent business growth, the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program is often the best way to do so. Dozens of Montana companies have received over $80 million in recent years through this program, and unlike Venture Capital (very scarce in Montana) or bank loans, SBIR funding does not need to be repaid, nor do you give up any company equity.

You now have the opportunity to learn all about this $2 billion federal program specifically for small businesses, and meet with a dozen federal SBIR and STTR Program Managers, along with dozens of technology firms from around the nation, at an important 3-day event coming up in Bozeman, Sept. 11 – 13. Meeting face-to-face with these Program Managers, like meeting with key customers, is the very best way to understand their agency needs and gain a critical competitive advantage. This may well be your last chance for such an opportunity at any event in this region.

The 2006 SWIFT Tour http://techlinkcenter.org/cgi-bin/techlink/SBIR_SWIFTTour_Agenda.html
is the last such event planned, and likely your last chance to be able to schedule One-on-One meetings with up to a dozen federal SBIR/STTR Program Managers in an uncrowded setting and great locale! But you’d better hurry and register TODAY, as discounted registration prices are scheduled to double on Sept. 1. Please see http://sbir.mt.gov/SWIFTTour.asp

There are several outstanding free programs available to help Montana companies (and individuals starting a new company) compete more effectively in the SBIR and STTR programs, and go on to commercialize these new technologies – that’s why Montana easily ranks in the top 10 nationally in SBIR awards on a per capita or per GSP basis. See http://www.techlinkcenter.org/cgi-bin/techlink/sbir_montana.html for more information.

* Conference fees subsidized by generous grants from the Montana NSF EPSCoR Program
