* Unspoiled and unforgettable, Judith Basin County was created in 1920 from portions of Cascade and Fergus counties after a spectacular population boom resulting from the appearance of the railroad, high grain prices and cheap, fertile farmland. Today, Judith Basin County is home to 2,284 hard-working, fun-loving citizens who live on 1,880 square miles without a stoplight in the entire county! With 1.2 people per square mile it is a paradise for those wanting some solitude and quiet in this era of hustle and bustle, relentless pressures and impossible deadlines.
