Northern Colorado businesses chip in to hire an expert and fund his projects to help the area attract more jobs.
Northern Colorado businesses have committed $750,000 to lure a regional economist and researcher they hope will make the Fort Collins area more competitive in attracting jobs.
Martin Shields, director of Pennsylvania State University’s Center for Economic and Community Development since 1998, will start as a regional economist at Colorado State University in August.
