Tell candidates to answer Vote Smart questions

You want an example of what’s wrong with the political system?
Try the position of many politicians on cooperating with Project Vote Smart, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization whose sole purpose is informing voters about candidates.
To a casual observer, it might seem like that’s what candidates would want: issues-focused information about themselves, provided to voters in an accessible, no-cost format. What’s not to like?

We and other news organizations will publish lists of those who did and didn’t participate once the Aug. 9 deadline is past and the PVS database is posted online, http://www.vote-smart.org.
