Oakland, CA startup is Web’s ‘how to’ site

Want to learn how to replace a flat tire on your car? Or how to play jazz on the piano?

Oakland startup ViewDo LLC has launched a Web site of "how to" videos on topics ranging from how to change tires to how to throw knuckleballs and play jazz piano.

On Tuesday, http://www.ViewDo.com also announced that its instructional videos will be playable on the iPod and other portable music players.

"The idea came about when we realized how valuable it would be to have a video on, for instance, how to change your oil — although we don’t have that yet — to have it in the palm of your hand in your garage," rather than inside on your personal computer, said ViewDo.com principal owner Gordy Wray.
