Biodiesel topic of workshops

Sidney will play host to a Montana biodiesel production workshop, which has the goal of educating about oilseed production and the potential for a successful biodiesel business.

The workshop, which is scheduled for July 19 starting at 8 a.m. at the Sidney Elks Lodge, is one of four held this year in Montana. This is the first year for workshops stressing biodiesel production.

"There’s a lot of interest for it," Jerry Bergman, superintendent for the Montana State University Eastern Agricultural Research Center, Sidney, said. "I don’t expect a huge crowd, but there should be about 50 to 100."
