High-tech leaders want Idaho to do more. Member of governor’s council says state should invest at least $50 million to boost technology businesses

Idaho’s high technology leaders are calling on state leaders to dramatically increase Idaho’s investment in their industry.

Several members of the Governor’s Science and Technology Advisory Council say state funding for programs to boost science and technology businesses is inadequate.

Karl Tueller, executive director of Idaho Commerce and Labor’s Office of Science and Technology, said Tuesday that a task force is being convened this summer to look at the effectiveness of potential incentives the Legislature may be asked to approve, including:
