Pyron Medical IT Services of Missoula, MT cracks health-care IT top 100

A Missoula-based company narrowly made it onto a list of the top 100 health-care information technology companies in the United States.

At No. 99, Pyron Medical IT Services http://pyrontechnologies.com/ squeaked onto Healthcare Informatics’ 13th annual list, which ranked the companies in order of revenue. Collectively, the top 100 companies sold more than $20 billion in information technology products and services to health-care entities, according to the magazine.

Pyron’s revenue share for 2005 topped $1.4 million, according to owner Dave Pyron.

A division of Pyron Technologies Inc., which employs fewer than 30 technology professionals, Pyron Medical IT Services is listed among such giants as Cardinal Health (No. 1 at nearly $2.2 billion in revenue) and Orion Health Inc. (No. 77 at nearly $16 million) in the magazine’s June issue.
