Montana Rep. Rehberg secures CMC telemedicine network funds for the State

Community Medical Center’s request for help in funding the Western Montana Telehealth Network has been answered through a $500,000 federal appropriation secured with the help of Montana Rep. Denny Rehberg.

The appropriation means CMC can start building its network with rural hospitals. The WMTN eventually will be housed in facilities being built in conjunction with the new Montana Center for Women’s and Newborn Care.

CMC will use the network for delivery of health care and education to rural areas of western Montana and Idaho. The network also will have operational uses such as video conferencing that will bring travel savings.
