Missoula company gets help unleashing its new weightlifting strap. Baldwin Gear LLC

Entrepreneurs seeking success are often told that it’s not what you know, it’s who you know. For the partners of a new fitness equipment company in Missoula, it turned out to be both.

After all, Missoula’s the kind of town that fosters personal connections, where a new company can sprout from an idea passed along to a client who happens to work in the same building as an advertising firm, knows a financial guru and has a patent attorney for a brother.

The company is called Baldwin Gear LLC http://www.flexsolate.com/ , and it launched its first product – a patented weightlifting strap – last month after more than two years in the development phase.

It immediately caught the eye of Gunter Schlierkamp of international body building fame. Impressed, the former Mr. Universe inked an endorsement deal with the Missoula company to represent its Flexsolate Muscle Development System.
