Deer Lodge residents describe assets, challenges in new assessment

Deer Lodge folks have ideas on the future of their community.

More than 230 residents participated in a community assessment earlier this month. They answered three basic questions:

# What do you like about Deer Lodge?

# What are the challenges?

# What would you like to see happen in the next 2 to 20 years?

A volunteer economic development team summarized what it heard.

The assessment, sponsored by the Montana Department of Commerce and Headwaters RC&D, was lead by Gloria O’Rourke of the Montana Economic Developers Association http://www.medamembers.org/.
