Dan Thompson certainly didn’t invent carts, but, while working as a cabinet maker for a local manufacturer, he had an idea to replace all the shoddy carts in his employer’s shop.

Carts, as it turns out, are a necessity in many areas of production and his decision to build sturdy custom carts for specific areas of fabrication ended up being a mother of an idea.

Thompson said he never intended to start a business building carts, but he recognized a need and he knew if he was going to be successful as a businessman he would have to conform to the market.

“It wasn’t like I sat down one day and said, ‘I think I’ll build steel-frame carts,’” he said. He just had an idea and the business grew according to the demand.
