Yellowstone given $15M for visitor center
April 14, 2006 /
The smallest donations, dollar bills and spare change, were stuffed into a box within view of Yellowstone National Park’s Old Faithful geyser.
The largest donation of $3 million came from a Massachusetts family after a first visit to the park.
In all, some 400 people, corporations and foundations pitched in over the course of five years to raise money to build a new visitor center at Old Faithful.
