UM student, Mike Greener takes first prize in national Hearst Journalism Competition

A University of Montana photojournalism student won first place and $2,000 in the picture story/series category of the national Hearst Journalism Awards Program.

Mike Greener is a senior from Crystal Lake, Ill. His prize-winning photos documented the final days of David Barton, who died of lung cancer in hospice care.
