Finding Humor in Meat Patents

When Daniel Wright needs new comedic material, he turns to an unlikely source: the website of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Wright, an aspiring New York City stand-up comedian, said he became familiar with the site two years ago through a day job working for a local inventor. He quickly recognized its potential in his own profession.

"I found some stuff that as a comedian got me really excited, like the heart-shaped meat product," said Wright, who publishes commentary on selected patents on his website, Patently Silly http://www.patentlysilly.com/ .
