Idaho Looks To Attract Hollywood

You could say Idaho is a cinematographer’s dream: gorgeous mountains, vintage ghost towns, expansive deserts and sparkling lakes.

So how come so few films get shot in Idaho?

It’s all about the bottom line. Correspondent Elizabeth Wynne Johnson reports on what the state is doing to re-cast itself as a player in Hollywood.

As a veteran actor and aspiring Hollywood producer, Tom Williamson knows a thing or two about the film business:

Tom Williamson: "As I refer to it jokingly, it’s the second-oldest profession. Meaning you had the oldest profession, and then you had to tell a story about it."

Williamson wants to see more of those stories told in his home state of Idaho. A few years ago, he had a project he thought would be perfect for the Gem state.
