$50,000 in scholarships available to Montana students

Gov. Brian Schweitzer announced Tuesday the availability of $50,000 in scholarships for high school juniors and seniors in recognition of their service to their community.

Students who performed 100 hours of service in their community over the past 12 months can apply.

“I am proud to help honor students who give so much of their time to their communities,” Schweitzer said. “Montana’s families have been priced out of an education. Our state’s most talented should have the opportunity to attend college and be the engines that drive the state’s future economic growth.”
