Nw Toolkit for Building Inclusive Communities

The National League of Cities has developed a toolkit aimed at building inclusive communities. The toolkit offers ideas for creating connections, encouraging dialogue, celebrating different cultures, involving youth and the media, and focusing on city employees and policies.

The Neighborhood Alliance Program in Owensboro, Kentucky, Youth in Government/Youth in Action in Hampton, Virginia, and the Unity Project in Clarksburg, West Virginia are among the Southern programs highlighted. Current NLC President, James Hunt from Clarksburg, West Virginia, is spearheading the Inclusive Communities effort.
