Prepped for business: UM-based nonprofit, American Indian Business Leaders (AIBL) gets Native students ready for work world

The offices of the nonprofit American Indian Business Leaders at the University of Montana hummed with quiet activity last week.

Fresh from a regional seminar on Native business issues sponsored by the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, director Tina Begay and her staff prepared for the national organization’s annual conference in Scottsdale, Ariz.

“I’m a firm believer in business concepts and ideals,” Begay said.

Through AIBL, she works to instill those qualities in the next generation of Native college graduates.
