China becomes Idaho’s top buyer. Exports of state goods, services exceeds $3.2B

A good trading partner is more than one who buys your goods. A good trading partner is also one you can trust.

Exports of Idaho’s goods and services in 2005 exceeded $3.2 billion, and China has become the state’s top trading partner for the first time, Gov. Dirk Kempthorne reported last week.

Riding another wave in sales of Idaho’s high tech products, 2005 marks the second time state exports topped $3 billion. In 2000, export sales topped $3.5 billion.
