Glaxo set to break ground in Hamilton, MT next month. It’s already added 25 employees and hopes to add another 130 or so over the next two years.

GlaxoSmithKline, the pharmaceutical giant that bought Corixa’s plant outside of Hamilton last year, has already added 25 employees and hopes to add another 130 or so over the next two years.

It’s all part of an expansion project expected to cost at least $75 to $80 million.

The full-time jobs, with benefits, will pay between $20,000 and $55,000 to $60,000 per year and will be filled by everyone from high school graduates to people with master’s degrees, site director Gary Christianson said Tuesday. His comments were during a presentation to Hamilton’s mayor and city council.

Christianson and another representative from Glaxo gave an update for the future of the facility off Old Corvallis Road.
