Idaho Senate kills math, science incentive. Some fear divisive impact of unequal pay for teachers

Idaho senators rejected a proposal Thursday to give math and science teachers a 3.75 percent pay raise, saying it wouldn’t help Idaho schools and would create friction among teachers.

The measure failed 21-13.
