Call for applications for folk and traditional arts apprenticeship awards in Montana

The Montana Arts Council’s folklife program is calling for applicants for its folk and traditional arts apprenticeship program. Awards of $1,500 will be given to master artists skilled in such arts as quilting, beadwork, saddle making, fiddle playing or one of many other forms of creativity that are found in traditional Montana cultures.

In turn, the masters will teach apprentices over an extended period of time in a format to be decided by both master and apprentice and designed to best pass on the skills and knowledge involved.
