Learning to work. New Idaho job training program helps businesses lower training costs
February 14, 2006 /
Simplification and bureaucracy are not words that often go together, but a new on-the-job training program to help qualified businesses reduce the cost of training new employees is now available in Idaho.
The Idaho Commerce & Labor program is funded through the Workforce Investment Act and will reimburse businesses an average of $1,500 to $2,000 per employee for training costs for hiring eligible disadvantaged workers and those facing barriers to employment.
What’s more, the paperwork required has been reduced to make it more user friendly.
