Pipe supply business, ig Sky Pipe and Supply in Great Falls secures niche in recycled plastic

Milk jugs, plastic food containers and two-liter soda bottles fill the kitchen trash can quickly and then pile up in landfills.

Now the environmentally minded can recycle the bulk of their plastic trash, thanks to a new service at Big Sky Pipe and Supply.

The business serves as a distributor for a plastic pipe manufacturer that recently secured a contract for a product made of recycled and new plastic. The manufacturer works with Big Sky Pipe and Supply to collect used plastic in Montana.

"Plastic recycling is very limited in Montana and isn’t offered in Great Falls now," said Ed Stahler, owner of Big Sky Pipe and Supply.
