Baucus announces $1 million grant for Mission Food Enterprise Center in Ronan, Montana

Montana Senator Max Baucus Monday announced that the Mission Mountain Food Enterprise Center http://www.mtmountainmarket.org/ in Ronan will receive a $1 million grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration.

Baucus, who lobbied for the grant, said the funds will create 75 jobs and generate an estimated $7.5 million dollars in private investment.

According to Baucus the grant will be administered through the Lake County Community Development Corporation with funds used for construction to improve and add space to the Mission Mountain Food Enterprise Center, the agribusiness incubator in Ronan, Montana.

Baucus praised the EDA for approving the grant and committing to helping create jobs and boost Montana’s economy.

"I am committed to doing everything I possibly can to continue to invigorate and strengthen Montana’s economy," Baucus said. "We’re talking about creating jobs and investing in our Montana-made businesses."
