Two Regional Economic Development Coordinator (Gallatin and Park Counties, Montana) (Joliet, Montana) Job Announcements

The Northern Rocky Mountain Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) Area, Inc., a non profit, tax exempt corporation is seeking a highly motivated, entrepreneurial person to serve as its regional economic development coordinator to lead its Certified Regional Development Corporation (CRDC) program.

The position will work with communities, organizations, and businesses in Gallatin and Park Counties to encourage and organize regional economic development activities; perform local and regional economic development planning; provide business technical assistance and project management; prepare grant applications and grant management; and provide technical assistance for cooperative development enterprises.

This position performs office work with frequent travel throughout Gallatin and Park Counties. The highly qualified applicant will have strong communication and public speaking skills; the ability to work with minimal supervision and be self motivated; the ability to manage multiple projects effectively; a strong familiarity with economic and community development practices; and experience working with groups to accomplish projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Seeking a Regional Economic Development Specialist in Joliet, Montana. As the lead for the Certified

Regional Development Corporation (CRDC) program, the position is responsible for coordinating regional

economic development work for Big Horn, Carbon, Stillwater, Sweet Grass and Yellowstone counties.

Position ensures CRDC program objectives and work plan are accomplished for the five-county area. The

position will also provide assistance in the development and implementation of a Comprehensive

Economic Development Strategy for the five-county area, and assist counties and communities with their

economic development strategies and opportunities. A college degree in business administration,

business communications/marketing, or public administration, along with 2 years of economic development

experience is required, or 5+ years related experience. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Some travel and evening meetings required. Benefits (to be explained by employer) are available for a

40-hour work week. Salary will be negotiated and will take into consideration both experience and
