Insights for Tapping into Your Creative Genius

Ok, so we all want to become more innovative – that’s the name of the game today. But how do we go about doing that? Experts often point to the power of creativity in nurturing innovation. But what if you’re not an artsy, non-conformist type? What if you just aren’t the type to “think outside the box?”

Have no fear, says Washington University psychologist R. Keith Sawyer, author of a new book, Explaining Creativity: The Science of Human Innovation. Innovation isn’t something that only the creative geniuses among us can achieve. Such individuals can teach us a few things about the creative process, however — like the old adage, “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.”
