Yellowstone ‘yachts

Winter paints a remarkable picture on Yellowstone National Park. An endless expanse of snow covered hills and valleys glisten and glimmer around every bend in the park. Groves of trees dress in spectacular snow-covered fashions complimenting breathtaking vistas and thousands of steaming geysers. The grand expanse of Yellowstone is a sight to behold in the wintertime.

Over 3 million visitors come to Yellowstone each year, though only 2 percent of them visit during the winter months. In days of old, winter travelers boarded a vehicle known as a snow plane to view the majesty of the park. The snow plane had an engine mounted to its rear and traveled at a speed of about 70 miles per hour.
