Whitefish label company plans big expansion – Resource Label Group of Montana

The Flathead Valley economy will soon get a huge shot in the arm, thanks to a high-tech, low-impact manufacturing company located north of Whitefish.

Resource Label Group of Montana http://www.rlgmt.com/ plans to construct a new plant on U.S. Highway 93 north of town that will employ as many as 150 workers, the owner told the Pilot last week.

Don Farris, who brought his family-owned business to the Flathead in 2003, with construction of a 16,000-square-foot, $4.5 million plant about eight miles north of Whitefish, says business has expanded far more than he had expected.

"I originally expected to hire 40 to 50 people over the next five years," Farris said. "Now people are beating at the doors."
