North Dakota CIO To Retire

North Dakota Gov. John Hoeven yesterday announced that Curt Wolfe has decided to retire from his position as North Dakota’s Chief Information Officer (CIO) effective December 31. Mike Ressler, deputy information officer for the Information Technology Department, will take over as interim CIO until a replacement has been named.

"Curt has done an outstanding job of laying a strong foundation for telecommunications and information technology in North Dakota," Hoeven said. "His work with projects such as STAGENet and ConnectND has helped expand North Dakota’s digital capabilities and create new business opportunities for the state. We are grateful for Curt’s energy and leadership in helping North Dakota emerge as a competitive player in the digital marketplace."

The Governor’s office will organize a search process to accept applications and review candidates for a new CIO over the next several weeks, with a goal of making an appointment in mid-February.
